The Rule Referee publisher program

Partner with Rule Referee so your players get instant, plain-language answers grounded in your own rulebook. Not AI. Every game passes a 260+ question accuracy test, and you see sample answers and a screen recording before launch. New games launch on the 1st of each month.

How partnering works

  1. Send your rulebook. PDF, digital, or print. Any format works, and that is the whole first step.
  2. I build and test it. Your rulebook goes through the build pipeline and a 260+ question accuracy test before anyone sees it.
  3. You see it in action. I send you a sample of about 10 real questions and answers plus a screen recording of your game inside the app, so you can see exactly how it works before launch.
  4. It goes live. I publish updates on the 1st of each month, so reach out at least two weeks before the month you want your game live.

What setup includes

  • Reading your rulebook and structuring it for lookup
  • Running it through the build pipeline
  • A 260+ question accuracy test
  • A sample of questions and answers plus a screen recording before launch
  • Getting your game live in the app

Pricing

Early partner pricing is $450 one-time setup per company, not per game, plus $50 per game per month. That rate is held for the next 9 companies, then it returns to $850 setup and $100 per game per month. Volume discounts run from 10% off at two games to 30% off at six or more.

Questions publishers ask

Is this AI?
No. Rule Referee runs on a deterministic rules engine, not a language model. Answers are prewritten ahead of time, validated against your official rulebook, FAQs, and rulings, and written at about a 5th grade reading level so players can act on them. Nothing is generated or guessed.
What if we want to cancel?
You can cancel anytime with notice. There is no penalty and no long contract. Your game stays in the library, it just goes back to being part of the paid library instead of free for everyone.
Do we pay the setup fee again for a second game?
No. The setup fee is once per company. Any game you add after the first one is just the monthly rate, with volume discounts as your list grows.
What happens if our rulebook changes after launch?
Send me the update and I fold it in. Errata, FAQ updates, and new printings are covered by the monthly rate, and I let you know when the changes are live.
Do you need a print copy or a digital file?
Digital is easiest, but print works too. If all you have is a physical rulebook, we will sort it out.
How long does it take to go live?
New games go live on the 1st of each month, so send your rulebook at least two weeks before the month you are aiming for. If you are working toward a launch date, tell me the date and I will plan around it.
